                                       The Annual Financial Education Award

Upon her death in 1999, Elizabeth D. Carpenter gave Community Presbyterian Church $100,000.00 in trust. The principle is invested and only the income may be used by CPC. In her honor, the Annual Financial Education Award was established to help traditional and non traditional students continue their educations at a college or university of their choice. The annual award is $1,000.00. An application process is well established with a point system determining the winner each year. The Award Committee operates under the umbrella of the Mission and Outreach Committee. Should more than one individual receive an Award in the same year, the $1,000 is divided equally between them. Consecutive Awards are only given when no other qualified applications are received.
